At Thundercross, we offer dirt bike hires tailored to your size and skill level.  

• If you can ride a two-wheel pedal bike confidently; stopping/starting/steering and braking, you can ride a dirt bike.  From approximately 5 years upwards; our most senior hirer is 80 years old!

• No motorcycle licence or experience necessary  (Tuition available for a separate fee).

James (founder and owner) is one of NZ's most experienced dirt bike coaches, so you will be in good hands.   

Each hire price per bike includes:

• One full-day bike hire

• All essential protective gear: shirt, pants, riding boots, gloves, helmet, googles and chest protector

• Park fee entry

• Fuel

Bike and all protective gear are commercially washed after each hire.

Hire bikes are assigned to individual riders based on their size and experience. For safety reasons, they are strictly designated to the specific rider and should not be shared, swapped, or ridden by anyone else.

To ensure availability, please book your hire bike well in advance. We do not accept bookings on the day to avoid any inconvenience. We wouldn't want you to have a wasted journey. Secure your booking here.

BOND:
Hiring any Thundercross bikes and gear is subject to our Terms and Conditions, which includes a fully refundable bond of 50%, payable upon booking. Deductions from the bond for damages, if necessary, will be communicated beforehand. The bond is reimbursed to your credit card or nominated bank account within a week following the hire. Please note, bond refunds commence from Wednesday onwards, allowing us time for bike inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.

TUITION AVAILABLE:
No matter your skill level, whether you're a complete beginner embarking on your first ride or a seasoned rider aiming to enhance your abilities with personalized training, you've found the ideal destination. Our tuition is tailored to your pace, ensuring a pressure-free experience. Coaching is conducted in small groups, with a ratio of 1 coach to 4 participants. Additionally, we can arrange one-on-one coaching sessions upon request.
