Thundercross Valley Dirt Bike Park offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the delights of dirt biking in a magnificent setting. We have tracks to suit everyone, from Learners to Advanced riders. Bring your own bike or hire one of ours.

We have a fleet of 18 hire bikes, with something to suit all sizes and skill levels, from 50cc to 300cc. No motorcycle licence or experience necessary. No matter your age or fitness level, our experienced instructors will teach you to independently ride a dirt bike around our beautiful private Park. Advanced tuition also available. James is one of NZ's most experienced dirt bike coaches; you will be in good hands with his team.

In 1999, owner and founder of Thundercross, James Fowlie, created the tracks on the family farm so that their teenage children could have somewhere to practice and progress their dirt biking skills. The Park opened to the public in 2001 and the tracks have been popular with locals, domestic and international visitors ever since.

Set in 750 acres of rolling Waikato countryside, Thundercross is only an hour from Auckland airport to the north, Hamilton to the south and 1.5 hours from Hobbiton. The Park has been the location for many TV advertisements and productions, most recently The Bachelorette NZ and The Circus.
