Thundercross Valley Dirt Bike Park
Thundercross offers a unique opportunity to enjoy dirt bike riding on a magnificent 750-acre private farm park. We have tracks to suit everyone, from Learners to Advanced riders. Bring your own bike or hire one of ours.
Founded in 1999, by the Fowlie Family , The Park was opened to the public in 2001 and the tracks have been popular with locals, domestic and international visitors ever since. As of November 2025 the business was purchased by the Stewart family who plan to grow the park and carry on the legacy of Thundercross.
We have a fleet of 18 hire bikes, with something to suit all sizes and skill levels, from 50cc to 300cc. No motorcycle licence or experience necessary. No matter your age or fitness level, our experienced instructors will teach you to independently ride a dirt bike around our beautiful Park. Advanced tuition also available.
The Thundercross Coaching team have over 55 years of collective experience riding & racing dirtbikes around NZ & Internationally you will be in good hands with our team.
Thundercross is only an hour from Auckland airport to the north, Hamilton to the south and 1.5 hours from Hobbiton
